I've been considering a run to the mountains, myself, just to get away from things! But I get nervous because a lot of people around here are being dumb. The latest thing is the governor decided last call for drinks is 10pm for the next 30 days to see if that curbs a sudden spike of cases in the 20-30s crowd. His reasoning is that people make poor decisions when they are out late drinking, though in thinking about last call rules, he thinks maybe 2pm in normal times is silly and should be rethought. But all the bars hear is that they will lose money for the next thirty days and they're pissed off and talking about suing him and saying that they're affronted that he doesn't think they do a good enough job distancing... Missing the whole point. (if he were upset at the bars themselves, wouldn't he shut them down again? They're allowed to stay open after for events and food -- right now the only bars that are allowed to be open are ones that also serve food). Anyway, just one example of the yahoos around here...
