Today is my fiftieth birthday.  
I am sick.  
I am jetlagged.  
I am on my period.
I am in withdrawal (trying to come of an antidepressant).

Yet I am oddly hopeful.

Real update to come - it's been a busy summer - Oahu!  Strasbourg!  Zurich!  Turin!
